Aston Martin has revealed its new Vantage, a stunning two-seat coupe powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine supplied and developed in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG.

The new Vantage is an in-house design, inspired by the track-only DB10 and Aston Martin Vulcan, with aerodynamic performance a major focus in its development.

Aston claims the 375kW/685Nm Vantage will accelerate from 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 314km/h.

In addition to the switch from naturally aspirated to twin-turbo V8 power, the Vantage now sends drive to the rear wheels via a rear-mounted ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and, for the first time, has an electronic rear differential (E-Diff) built into the car’s electronic stability control system.
