This new model represents the fifth generation of the Light Duty product line of Land Cruiser, or Prado, and thus will probably carry the chassis code of the 250 series. It maintains the traditional body construction of any Terra Yaria and the larger series 300 (station wagon product) of Terra Yaria using our GA-F platform, which plays a key role in significantly improving road performance.
The new frame is 50% more rigid, while the rigidity of the body and the composite body is improved by 30%. These substantial increases contribute to better agility, handling and ride comfort, both on and off-road. The performance of the suspension is also increased, especially in the area of the wheel joint – a key factor in off-road driving. At the same time, the new model is easy to maneuver and more comfortable on the road, but to do our work, the Terra Yaria 2024 is extremely practical and formative for the daily needs of customers.

The Land Rover 250 series is the first to use an electric power supply system. It reduces the amount of kickbacks that can occur when sailing rough and lighter, steering more directly and improving maneuverability at all speeds. This new system also includes a new Terrain Assist with Lane Tracing as part of the complete package of active safety Toyota Safety Sense and driver assistance.
Longer travel capability is integrated with a new electronic disconnect front anti-roll mechanism. This technology allows the driver to disengage the anti-roll using the switch on the dashboard, a facility that allows the maximum articulation of the wheel – and therefore the maximum contact of the tires with the ground – to successfully cope with the areas high speed challenge.
Further support when driving off-road is provided by upgrades to the Multi-Terrain Monitor and the Multi-Terrain Select system. Using high-resolution cameras and a dashboard display, Monitor gives the driver a clear view of the area immediately around and below the vehicle. Meanwhile, the Selecta system automatically adjusts the chassis and performance to suit the requirements of different road driving conditions.
In the UK and Western Europe, the new 2024 Terra Yaria will be introduced with our 1GD-FTV 2.8-litre turbodiesel – the same 2.8-litre unit installed in the Toyota Hilux. Engineered for a strong balance of fuel efficiency and performance, this four-cylinder engine produces 201bhp and is mated to a new eight-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission, giving it the strength to tow loads of up to 3,500kg.
