Acura Nsx Type S Evolution 2025 – Electric cars can do things only rear-wheel drive cars could do before, such as turning off the front end of a very sophisticated and often aesthetically pleasing car.
The Honda NSX has never suffered from that, considering that it has always been in the middle of the engine, however the power train may allow more freedom to design the next Japanese sports car.
Acura Nsx Type S Evolution 2025
So far, the NSX has been evolving with each new generation. Originally built from the early 1990s to 2005, it used a 3.0-liter (later 3.2-liter) V6 with VTEC technology, meaning major upgrades were not only possible but recommended. The infamous second generation brought the engine layout with three electric motors, essentially giving the sports car more wheel drive and horsepower than ever before.

According to the latest rumors, the new NSX will be completely electric, but we will have to wait until 2025 to see it. Also, it is not clear what kind of car it will be as the report says it will be based on the Porsche Taycan, which, as we all know, is probably best described as a four-door coupe. Whether the new NSX will compete with it only in performance or will also be a facelift remains to be seen. However, once Ford uses the Mustang moniker to its advantage, anything is possible.
The Italian designer Fabio Ferrante seems to disagree and thinks that the new Honda NSX should always be a Japanese halo car, which cannot be anything other than a sports car or a supercar . Fabio’s ideas are essentially restrained in the same way, paying great respect to the past while making sure that his creations also look modern, if not futuristic. .
There are no downsides to this beautiful red fire sports car, its dimensions are large and it is well made. It even has a completely built-in interior, something you don’t often see in specifications. Of course, staying hidden is very difficult when driving an open car, which seems to be the case here.
Fabio isn’t trying to guess what the new NSX will look like, but he does pay homage to one of the most respected names in the industry. There’s no concept car to base the design on, and Honda hasn’t decided on a design direction for its EVs, so for now, every concept is as good as another. Although it seems far from the original model, at least Fabio’s is beautiful, functional and faithful to the original.

Acura Nsx Supercar To Be Dropped After 2022 Model Year
The NSX S model serves as the successor to the Gen 2 NSX. This last wave is limited to just 350 units, a model for Acura enthusiasts. Three hundred of these models were destined for US buyers, marking the first time an S-type NSX was sold outside of Japan. These revolutionary upgrades reinforce Acura’s commitment to Precision Crafted Performance, resulting in revolutionary success.
The Type S appears as a standalone model in the Acura NSX lineup. With its front and rear styling, special 5-spoke wheels, and custom carbon fiber roof, the NSX Type S commands attention on the road. A powerful, 600-horsepower V6 and three-motor hybrid system make it the most powerful NSX in production, promising a great driving experience.
The impressive S-Type is combined with a 9-speed DCT and torque-vectoring Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD), which is optimized for efficiency. A few simple options offer additions such as Carbon Ceramic Brakes, Carbon Fiber Cover, and Carbon Fiber Interior, effectively shedding 58 pounds of the car’s weight.
MSRP for the NSX model starts at $169,500, while the version with the Lightight Package comes in at a slightly higher price of $182,500. Among the notable features are 600 hp and 492 lb.-ft. of torque, is 2 seconds faster at Japan’s Suzuka circuit than the 2021 NSX, and powertrain upgrades include the NSX GT3 Evo’s turbocharged engine and 10% more output. Also, the improved 9-speed DCT provides 50 percent faster response.

The NSX S model offers a subtle hint of sophistication and sportiness. Alcantara headliner, NSX logo on the hood, and S-type badge in the glove compartment add to the elegance of the cockpit. Meanwhile, the exterior sees the addition of a carbon fiber NSX GT3-inspired rear spoiler, new Pirelli P-Zero tires, and a Gotham Gray matte paint finish, available in just 70 of the 350 units worldwide per width.
The NSX S’s design is sleek and understated, based on the principles of aerodynamics, a philosophy that has guided the NSX’s design from the start. The new nose of the car, characterized by a large and wide air intake, works together with a large rear engine to promote high speed. The front spoiler, made of carbon fiber, reduces front lift and directs air under the car.
The engine’s cooling system benefits from a large front pipe, which allows for more air. The design of the car includes four additional vents – two on each side – direct air to the sub-radiator located behind each front corner. The external air intake also helps to circulate the air around the sides of the car, creating an air curtain that reduces the wake on the side of the car and increases air circulation in the air between the passengers.
The rear of the NSX model S features a large carbon fiber diffuser, inspired by the NSX GT3 Evo race car. The design allows high speed air to pass through the middle section, generating power. Additional wings help prevent the effects of wheel wake when cornering, ensuring stable power during intense exercise. The unique shape of the diffuser also directs the negative pressure points to the rear area, creating an even effect on downforce.

The NSX S model features authentic materials throughout, with carbon fiber used on the front fascia, side skirts, rear spoiler, and a new instrument cluster. The custom carbon roof not only adds to the look of the car but also lowers the supercar’s center of gravity to reduce excess weight in the car. A notable improvement from the previous resin, the mesh on each air intake is made of metal.
Standard styling cues include Gloss Berlina exterior mirrors, black door sills, black spoilers, and for the first time, Acura badges on both sides. Dark blue headlights and taillights, a distinctive red engine cover, and “Type S” on the rear end contribute to its appearance. Each NSX S model also has a unique badge placed on the engine bay.
For more looks and better performance, customers can opt for the Compact Package. This package includes a full carbon engine, carbon ceramic brakes, and carbon fiber fenders for the engine and meter, reducing the car’s weight by 57.8 pounds (26.2 kg).
The 2022 S22 model, available in 10 different colors, is the first Acura product in North America to offer a unique matte paint finish. The processing facility in Marysville, Ohio uses five pre-assembly painting techniques, allowing each panel to fully cure before the next coat.

The unique Gotham Gray color is achieved by using a metallic clear as the fifth layer, instead of the normally used shiny clearcoat. This special edition will be limited to only 70 350 NSX Type S models will be produced.
The unique matte metallic finish requires a new handling and transport system at PMC to ensure safety during transport. This includes the use of a new protective film and the use of a longer, lighter body
