Ferrari Visione 2025 – Ferrari revealed its VGT concept, as the name suggests, exclusively for the Green Turismo 7 racing game. Conceived by top designer Flavio Manzoni and the team in the Ferrari Centro styling in Maranello, the Vision Gran Turismo represents a “futuristic design manifesto” for the next generation of road and racing cars. The car was inspired by popular racing cars of the 1960s and 1970s such as the 330 P3 and 512 S.

Aerodynamics play a big part in the design of the VGT, with two channels that channel airflow around the cockpit and over the side pods, and the rear diffuser and biplane wing are inspired by Ferrari’s real-world 499P LMHd racer. “It’s what puts the car on the road,” says Ferrari.

Although no specific version of the Ferrari VGT has been announced, a full body study will be presented at the Italian Automobile Museum in Maranello from December 15.

Underneath, the VGT gets a “more extreme” version of the 120-degree twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that powers the Ferrari 296 GTB road car and the 499P race car. The upgraded power unit now produces 1,030hp at 9,000rpm (296 GTB: 830hp at 8,000rpm) and 900Nm at 5,500rpm, with an additional 326hp available through three electric motors – one at the rear and one at the rear. Another notable similarity is the engine – in theory, anyway. Ferrari envisions the real twin-turbo V6 powering the 296 series at the heart of this prototype, supported by three electric motors (as opposed to the Le Mans-Challenger’s one). All told, Ferrari calculates a total of 1,350 horsepower from the combined hybrid drive system.

Designers like to advertise that ideas inform the design of future product needs. But when Ferry says it, people sit up and take notice. Manzoni told GTPlanet more about his Vision Gran Turismo machine:

“The idea was to create something that looks like a conflict but isn’t,” he continued. “We wanted something accurate and fast, but also organic. This difference creates something special. It creates a new language and words that can inspire us for years to come. “We wanted a kind of tension between the inside and the outside, to create something organic where art and science meet,” explained Manzoni.
