Mclaren 765lt Spider – McLaren has taken the wraps off the 765LT Spider, essentially a convertible variant of the 765LT Coupe. Limited to just 765 units worldwide, all components of the model are available to order.
A key feature of the McLaren 765LT Spider is its retractable hard top, which can be opened or closed in 11 seconds, up to a speed of 50 km/h. The 765LT Spider weighs 49kg less than its Coupe sibling. A carbon fiber hard top helps the model further by tipping the scales at just 1,338kg.

Under the hood, the McLaren 765LT Spider uses the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 as the British brand that produces 755 hp and 800 Nm of torque. This engine, together with a seven-speed sequential gearbox, allows the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, while the 200 km/h mark is reached in 7.2 seconds at a maximum of 330 km / h.

The new McLaren 765LT Spider features a carbon fiber aerodynamic package that includes a front splitter, front floor, side skirts, front and rear bumpers, a diffuser, as well as an active rear spoiler. In the corners, whether you’re on the track or your favorite mountain road, the 765LT Spider will let you push harder and harder as you accumulate more time behind the wheel; That kind of confidence in a supercar is amazing. “Lap after lap,” said editor-in-chief Alexander Stoclosa, “I quickly felt comfortable behind the wheel.”
The 765LT Spider powered the car on the Willow track. “It’s easier on a different plane than anything else here,” said executive editor Mac Morrison. “Race cars feel because of all the input and feedback. On the final circuit of the Angeles Crest Highway, the McLaren provided more inspiration. Despite the wide body of the car, the interior is excellent, and since everything is designed around a weight-saving strategy, there are no comfort features or a cabin to put your belongings. “Twice I got into a hot car, hit the car climate control and it was 69 degrees, and nothing happened,” Markus said. “I had to press a button labeled ‘quick cool’. Why would I do that when it’s set to auto?” Similarly, Stoklosa questioned McLaren’s decision to design a sports car for the average American, not a skinny person. “I was like a jump rope – supported at both ends (butt and shoulders), but the middle was a bit sagged,” she said.

In the case of the 765LT, that means being able to fit some massive Vossen wheels to a chassis that has been lowered around 20mm thanks to the new sports springs.
