Genesis G90
Hyundai’s premium division intends to sell the G90 in Europe in two wheelbase sizes, with the SWB offering four or five seats, while the LWB will be available exclusively as a four-seater. The more popular one gets individually heated and ventilated rear seats with a massage function along with foot and leg rests. Compared to the SWB, the extended variant provides an additional 190 millimeters (almost 7.5 inches) of legroom for rear passengers.
What To Expect From The 2024 Genesis G90
Interestingly, Genesis says it has made a “significant investment” in modifying the G90 for Europe, where the luxury brand also sells the G70 Shooting Brake, which we won’t get in the United States. In addition, cars sold on the old continent will be “luxuriously specified”, so expect a long list of standard equipment that will better compete with the Maybach S-Class.
One missing piece of the puzzle is the engine assembly. That said, we’ll remind you that the American car has a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 optionally offered with an electric supercharger. The base engine has 375 hp and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft), while the more powerful one has 409 hp and 549 Nm (405 lb-ft).
In terms of size, the SWB is 5,275 mm (207.7 in) long and has a 3,180 mm (125.2 in) wheelbase, while the LWB stretches to 5,465 mm (215.2 in) while measuring 3,370 mm (132.7 inches) between axles. Both are 1,930 mm (76 in) wide and 1,490 mm (58.7 in) tall and weigh between 2,025 kg (4,464 lb) and 2,345 kg (5,170 lb) depending on trim and wheelbase.
No word yet on pricing, though we’re sure the G90 will command a significant premium over the G80, available in Germany from €53,480. Genesis G90 First Drive Review: Benchmarks, Consider Yourself Marked
Gesis family look, a double row lamp was used. The cube-shaped projection light includes white light, daytime running light and direction light. The two rows of taillights are long at the back as well. The second generation G90 was launched in two models: a geral model and a long wheelbase model.

The second-generation G90 is available with a long wheelbase that gains an additional 190 mm (7.5 in) over the standard car.
In November 2015, the day after pre-orders began, EQ900 pre-orders in South Korea reached 4,342 units. In December 2015, pre-orders for the G90 exceeded 10,000 units. It’s been a lifetime since the updated Genesis G90 hit the motoring scene. In fact, the heavily refreshed flagship sedan made its U.S. debut about seven months ago at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. The luxury marque is now moving into the 2021 model year and stepping up with a new special edition model called the Stardust.
Genesis G90: How Close To The Real Thing Do You Think This Render Is?
Maybe admit that Stardust is a pretty cool name for a car. In this case, the G90 Stardust Edition is an appearance package that, according to Genesis, takes its inspiration from “a night sky scene full of stars hanging over a red carpet event where celebrities are showered with flashing camera lights.” Interpret that however you want, but the reality is that the G90 has a two-tone black exterior that combines a metallic finish on top and black Vik underneath. It creates a pearlescent hue that is echoed inside with two-tone leather seats and metal-pored ash wood trim.
As for other G90 models, 2021 brings more standard equipment to the lineup. Adaptive suspension control and intelligent front lighting are included on the base model, with intelligent front lighting not only automatically dimming the high beams but also able to adjust brightness on demand. New for 2021 is a reverse parking collision avoidance system. It can detect objects or pedestrians behind the car and sound an audible warning, and can automatically apply the brakes to avoid a collision. A great new set of optional 19-inch wheels will also appear for the G90 in 2021.
Genesis doesn’t offer pricing for the 2021 G90, whether it’s the base model or the limited-edition Stardust version. We suspect it will be rather expensive, as Genesis only plans to build 50 of the star-themed cars. And if you want it in America, we’re sorry to say you’re out of luck. As of now, all 50 Stardust editions are set to go on sale exclusively in South Korea starting July 2nd.
Seoul, June 26, 2020 – The flagship G90 luxury sedan will go on sale on July 2 as a 2021 model year and as a special edition “Stardust” model. Fifty editions of Stardust will be sold only in Korea.
Genesis G90 Sees Big Price Bump, Still Undercuts S Class
The G90 sits at the pinnacle of the Genesis luxury car lineup and is highly regarded for its cutting-edge technology, refinement and luxurious amenities. Ride comfort will be enhanced on the base model with the addition of Genesis adaptive suspension and an intelligent headlight system as standard.
Genesis Adaptive Control Suspension automatically adjusts suspension stiffness to road conditions, reducing unwanted vibrations for passengers. The tires also maintain better contact with the road, increasing overall stability and safety.
In addition, the Intelligent Headlamp System automatically dims the high beams when the system detects an oncoming vehicle. This feature is achieved by a series of individual LEDs that can be brightened or dimmed on demand, ensuring that other drivers are never blinded by too bright lights.
Meanwhile, the 2021 model is now also available with optional Reverse Parking Collision Avoidance Assist, which warns the driver backing out of a parking space when an object or pedestrian is detected behind the vehicle. It can even apply emergency braking to avoid a collision. Another option for 2021 is new 19-inch wheels.
Genesis G90: Choosing The Right Trim
The special edition G90 “Stardust” arrives especially for this year, inspired by the scene of a night sky full of stars hanging over a red carpet event where celebrities are showered with flashing camera lights. For the first time, only 50 G90 Stardust models will be sold, which will be available only in Korea.
This image directly inspires the special carbon metallic paintwork with a radiant pearl effect. This contrasts with the lower half of the exterior with black Vik paint. This custom two-tone paintwork requires specialized craftsmanship, which naturally limits production quantities.
The interior features specially tailored Stardust seats with two-tone leather and metallic porous ash wood, creating a special environment tailored only for the select few.
“The G90 Stardust represents the highest form of elegance,” said SangYup Lee, head of Genesis Global Design. “The moment you arrive at a red carpet event, nothing less is expected.
