Polestar 3 – 2023 Polestar 3: Our exclusive unofficial renders reveal a sleek SUV that could ditch the camouflage.
Usually, when we get photos of camouflaged prototype cars, they are taken by a scout photographer. While these images are generally good, they can sometimes lack detail and sharpness. So when Polestar just released an official high-res photo of the camouflaged Polestar 3 prototype, we knew it was perfect for a detailed rendering to preview the production model.

Polestar 3 Price And Specs
Image, and with the digital removal of the camo film, there’s actually something to look at. It starts with some interesting symmetry when playing the front clip, which exactly matches the size and shape of the intake grille on the lower panel. The angled vents look more like the headlights and fairings, and the overall effect is satisfying, if a bit washed out.
Moving further back, take a closer look at the prototype, revealing something raised above the lower rocker under the camo at the base of the doors. We interpret this as a decorative rocker stripe that gives the Polestar 3 a slightly bolder flavor. It’s definitely a trend these days as SUVs approach the crossover world, and it wouldn’t look out of place on the Polestar 3.
Another trend is floating tents, and we don’t just do it for fun. The official image shows a visible camo body line in this area, and we decided to make it blacked out rather than chrome. For that matter, we’ve blacked out all the exterior trim in the rendering, as it’s also a hot trend for automakers. It could also be good for the Polestar 3, as Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath calls it “a premium electric SUV that will redefine the look of SUVs in the electric age.”
What play is he talking about? It’s still a mystery, but we do know that it will have single and twin engine options. We also know it will be a two-row SUV, as its topline doesn’t even offer room for a tiny third seat. It will also be built at Volvo’s South Carolina plant and will share space with the XC90, meaning it will also share some components. However, the Polestar promises to be his first SUV. The optional 3 Performance package includes performance software upgrades, a tuned Engineered chassis, 22-inch alloy wheels and special design features to further enhance the driving experience.

The 22-inch Performance wheels, inspired by motorsport manufacturing techniques, are forged, not cast. This process makes them lighter and stronger than conventional alloys, further improving handling and transportability.
The Pirelli P Zero tires, specially designed for, exemplify the automotive passion that has gone into creating the Performance package. Together with a carefully tuned engineered chassis, they deliver optimal road grip and track-inspired handling.
The engineered chassis provides precisely engineered handling in each of the three suspension settings. Spring rate, damping and torque distribution have been tuned for better responsiveness and interaction with the driver.

The brake calipers, seat belts and valve covers are finished in Swedish gold, a symbol of the 3’s performance-oriented character and Scandinavian heritage. A laser-etched golden light line inside adds an extra touch of color.
The 3 Plus package includes a head-up graphics display, a custom Bowers & Wilkins audio system, a power steering column, an air quality system with a PM 2.5 sensor, soft-close doors, and more.
The Bowers & Wilkins audio system, specially designed for 3 people, provides a unique listening experience. With a 1610W amplifier, 25 speakers, 3D Surround Sound and Dolby Atmos, it delivers surround sound that matches the original recording.
The Bowers & Wilkins audio system also creates silence by eliminating wind, tire and road noise. The result is an extremely soothing cabin that enhances the acoustic qualities of the system without blocking out sounds such as sirens and car horns.

Key driving information, such as speed, warnings and turn-by-turn navigation, is displayed graphically in the driver’s field of vision via a special overlay on the windshield. Advanced projection technology ensures excellent viewing regardless of lighting conditions.
A special coating allows the infrared windshield to filter infrared waves of sunlight and reflect them back into the atmosphere. This lowers the cabin temperature by up to 5.9 °F and reduces energy consumption by the climate control system.
The upgraded lower rear window is made of laminated acoustic glass, like the rest of the windows. A special noise-absorbing layer 3 helps to make the cabin even quieter.
To prevent items from sliding around, there’s a cargo floor cover that folds down to support items like grocery bags and packages. He can store them standing or hanging on hooks.

In addition to the comfort of heated front seats, heated steering wheel and rear seats make the interior of the 3 even more comfortable. Heated wiper blades prevent the washer from freezing and ensure optimal visibility in winter weather.
The air quality system includes a particle sensor that detects unwanted particles down to 2.5 micrometers in size. Its internal filter can remove 99.9% of pollen and 95% of viruses, dust and particulate pollutants, replacing 106 cubic feet of cabin air every minute.
Electric controls allow the driver to adjust the steering column to achieve the desired height and radius. The selected state can be saved in the driver profile to avoid making changes after sharing the car.
Push the door gently and the soft close sensors will detect it. When he touches the locking mechanism, the electric motor gets to work and slowly opens the door.

The luxury Nappa upgrade includes perforated Nappa leather upholstery on the Weir Bridge, Black Ash trim and front seats with five massage modes, power lateral support and ventilation.
Our Nappa upholstery is produced by Bridge of Weir, a renowned automotive leather manufacturer, to strict quality and animal welfare standards. It is available in three colors: Zinc, Charcoal or Jupiter.
The front seat ventilation system uses air vents inside the seat base and backrest to increase comfort in warm weather.

Polestar 3 Launches In China With $29k Price Cut
Pilot Assist keeps the car in its lane at speeds up to 150 mph where permitted by law. The system monitors lane distance and traffic ahead, and smoothly adjusts speed and steering to maintain a safe position.
When Pilot Assist is active, it can automatically change 3 lanes. Moving the indicator switch all the way up or down initiates the maneuver, and the car will only continue moving if the system’s sensors indicate it’s safe to do so.
Using cameras and sensors, Park Assist Pilot can detect available parking spaces and automatically steer the car to the driver’s chosen space. The system is capable of monitoring parallel, perpendicular and diagonal parking, and its detection function works at speeds up to 28.6 mph.
The onboard software can use both the front and rear cameras, as well as the door mirror cameras, to create a bird’s-eye or 3D view of the car on the center display. It helps the driver detect up to 3 obstacles and maneuver in a narrow space.
All New 2024 Polestar 3 Is An Electric Luxury Suv With Performance In Mind
This update adds three additional high-resolution cameras and an improved LiDAR² system from Luminar to the Pilot package. It can create a three-dimensional understanding of the car’s surroundings and further enhance driver assistance capabilities.
By scanning the environment with a laser, the LiDAR² system reproduces it in 3D, allowing it to recognize 3 landscapes, obstacles and traffic. It is capable of detecting objects up to 820 feet away, even in the dark and in poor weather conditions.
